Perkele är ett Oi band från GBG
Perkele started as a rebellian punkband -93. After a while Perkele started to record somedemotapes and joined some Swedish punkcompilations. People liked the music and Perkele gotgigs around Sweden. the first line-up was: Ron - Vocals,Lead guitar, Olof - Bass, Jonsson - Drumsand Anders - Rythm guitar. Perkele played with this line-up until -95 then
Anders felt it was time to leave the band,but the band played on more than ever.
This time Perkele recorded their last demotape as a punkband.
Then it was time for Jonsson to join the army and learn how to
defend our country and the band took a short brake.In this brake the singer and guitarist (Ron) listened more to Oi! and Ska,
soon he shaved his head and became a skinhead.
The songs changed caracter and became more Oi!ish.
Soon Olof the original bassplayer left the band and Perkele needed a new
member who chould handle the bass.
On a party they found Chris who had played with Ron in a band before
Perkele was formed 1997-98. The band did some gigs with the new bassplayer and new songs,
soon Perkele decided to record a 7song mini-cd called "Från Flykt Till Kamp"
(From escape to struggle).The cd became quite popular and Perkele got more gigs and the Skinheads, herberts and otherOi! - people got a new band to listen to. This time Sweden didn't have that much Oi! bandsaround. Soon Perkele decided to write songs in English.
The year 2000 the band went to the studio again with 6 new songs.
Perkele worked hard to record it, now the band also had a new sound.
Not that much distortion harder songs with alot of anger.
When Perkele finished that demo-cd it was sent
to Bronco Bullfrog Records and the beginning ofthe "Voice Of Anger" cd was formed. 8 more songs had to be dun and recorded for the new
recordand Perkele went to the studio again.
The Voice Of Anger was released Juli 2001 at last,now the band are working on new material for the next album.More to come!
